Slotted Post Truss Head Retention Assembly (SPTHRA)

Commonly called, "Black Chicago Screw Assemblies", these are black oxide coated slotted post truss head holster retention assemblies. These create adjustable retention in KYDEX® holster, flashlight and magazine carriers. They help to close the gap between the opposing material layers in common thermoform holster designs.

This model is the 3/8 inch version. It works by adding an EPDM rubber standoff washer between the material layers and can be tightened with the included phillips truss head screw to adjust the grip of the thermoform material against the holstered item. This size can be used on any KYDEX®, HOLSTEX®, or Boltaron® gauge from .060" to .125".

The .375 black oxide coated 8-32 truss head screw is another Holstex® brand exclusive and features the thinnest edge available on this type of design. This is vitally important when used for holster retention, or even in clothing or upholstery use, as the leading edge of the truss head screw is the surface most likely to cause irritation when rubbed against.
